In Search of Freedom

Statement Artistic research dedicated to the conquest of personal and collective freedoms, as well as the emancipation of women and society, is the main theme of the art project entitled “In Search of Freedom” realised in 2024. It is a great challenge to face the issues of social and individual emancipation, and an even greater challenge to act, create and visually explore artistic events dedicated to this topic. One example of such visual research is the artwork entitled “In Search of Freedom”. This painted object is made of a paper base, which forms the body of the work, slightly contoured inward, in order to create a frame in which the subject is placed. The subject of the work is a blind being that independently moves and tries to find a way out. The object was realised in several variants and shades of purple, of different shapes and rhythms, and with its action it should affirm the processes of conquering personal-female, social-collective freedom.
