Biography

Gordana Kuč was born in 1970 in Ivangrad, Montenegro. She completed primary and secondary school in Podgorica.

She graduated in painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cetinje in 1993.

She also receives Master’s degree at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Cetinje in 2002.

She is a doctoral candidate at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Arts in Belgrade.

In her artistic practice, she deals with concepts that move in relation to identity, gender and sex in relation to space and time. She does research that takes the form of installations, objects, collages, drawings and paintings, using different materials, media and languages. In addition to her active artistic work, Gordana Kuč worked as a curator at the Center of Contemporary Art of Montenegro and as an Independent Advisor at the Ministry of Culture of Montenegro.

She has had the status of independent artist since 2019.

She has been a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Montenegro from 1994.
